Jessica shares her story with us: what it was like growing up as a first- generation Cuban/Costa Rican overachiever, her early relationship with disordered eating and how this later shaped her relationship with alcohol, how she excelled professionally and even won the 2019 Kentucky State Teacher of the Year award while her drinking was out of control, finding love in rehab and the aftermath of loss, and finally obtaining long-term sobriety when her desire to get sober was met with the will to take action.
